THE LEGACY GOLF RESORT

The Legacy Golf Resort offers 328 beautifully appointed luxury guest suites housed in 12 separate buildings.

Decorated in Spanish mission-style with rich wood cabinetry and jewel-toned fabrics, each suite features a full kitchen or kitchenette, spacious living area, and either a balcony or patio overlooking lush tropical courtyards and spectacular mountain vistas.

The Legacy's spacious master suites are designed for comfort and casual elegance. Individual climate control and dual-line telephone with voice mail and dataport are standard conveniences. Each suite features a key card lock, doorbell and security latch to ensure privacy.

Site of the 2000 LPGA Standard Register Ping tournament, The Legacy Golf Resort is the former setting of Dwight B. Heard's 7,500-acre ranch from the early 1900's. Rich in heritage and history, the resort has taken great pride in preserving the remaining structures and monuments along its 18-hole championship golf course - giving golfers an added opportunity to experience a taste of Arizona history and the Heard legacy.

Designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Panks, The Legacy's lush green fairways, forgiving rough, well-placed hazards, and manicured greens offer a challenging golf for all skill levels. Indigenous grasses, flowers, shrubs and trees surround the rolling terrain. Its elevation provides exceptional views of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the downtown Phoenix skyline.

The Legacy also offers seasonal John Jacobs Golf School packages, a full-service practice facility, tournament coordination, and private and group instruction. World renowned LPGA professionals Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson offer private instruction, personalized coaching and coaching seminars. Lynn and Pia were both included in Golf Magazine's exclusive "Top 100 instructors" list, and Lynn is consistently ranked among Golf Digest's "Top 50 Instructors." Pia is the former Head Coach of the Swedish National Golf Teams and Solheim Cup Captain.

Guest Services Fitness Center Located in the Golf Clubhouse and overlooking the golf course. A host of equipment including stair steps, treadmills, bikes, and fourteen stations of Paramount resistance machines. Men's and women's locker rooms and massage treatment room. Spa treatments are also available. Recreation Swimming The main pool has spectacular views of South Mountain and has a poolside cabana and two whirlpools. A separate wading pool for children. During the winter months the pool is heated. Tennis There are two courts, lit at night. Children Children are superbly looked afetr at the Legacy. Activities include pool games, pot painting, tye dye t-shirts and more. There could be additional charges for the arts and crafts programs.
