Named after a Ute Indian
term "The Great Spirit", and one of the first Hotels
built for the Ski Area in 1970, the Manitou was recently renovated
into a charming lodge in the Historic District of our Victorian
Mining Town. Continental breakfast is served in the common room
every day. Either fill this lodge with your own friends and family
or if you like to meet new people, you can always share the lodge
with other groups. The Manitou is a great value for its location
and charm. Distinctive Features: All rooms decorated differently
with a nostalgic theme from the Mining Era up to the start of
the Telluride Ski Area. All rooms have a private bath with shower
only (some have bathtub), TV/HBO, small refrigerator, private
phone, access to the enclosed common outdoor hot tub & ski
lockers. Complimentary continental breakfast. Private entrances
and balconies. Bathrobes and bath, hand towels. Every other day
maid service. Lodge LAYOUT Sleeps up to 23 people Located on the
Ground Floor Kitchen & Common Room with fireplace and patio
overlooking the River. CD/player and books where a small group
can gather to socialize play games and listen to music or watch
TV. Manitou 1 "Townsmen Room" has a Queen and a sleeper
sofa. Manitou 2 "Women's Settlers Room" has two queen
beds. Manitou 3 "Pioneers Room" has two queen beds.
Manitou 4 "Ski Filmmakers Room" has a queen bed with
a trundle along with a kitchenette and jetted tub. This room has
two bathrooms. 2nd Floor Manitou 5 "Cowboys Room" has
a Queen in the Loft and a Queen Sleeper sofa in living area along
with a woodstove and old-fashioned bathtub. Manitou 6 "Rocky
Mountains Room" has Queen in the Loft and a Queen Sleeper
Sofa in the Living Area along with a woodstove and old-fashioned
bathtub Manitou 7 "Victoriana Room" has a Queen and
double in the loft and a queen sleeper sofa in living room and
kitchenette Manitou 8 "Fishing Room" has a Queen in
the loft (small unit) Manitou 9 "Winter Sports Room"
has a Queen loft (small unit) Manitou 10 "Sportsmen Room"
